Are your storage units near me?

We have two self storage facilities that are both located in Port Kennedy. Our storage units are near by if you are based in Port Kennedy, Baldivis, Secret Harbour, Warnbro, Waikiki, Golden Bay, Singleton, Karnup, Safety Bay, Shoalwater, Rockingham, and around. We welcome those from elsewhere, including interstate and overseas.

Can I inspect your storage units before I sign up?

Absolutely. Get in touch with us anytime by phone (9524 6172) or email (admin@stopstorage.com.au) to arrange a time to come and see our units.

What do I need to do to rent a unit?

Simply book a storage unit online or contact us to arrange to rent a unit. We will take some personal and payment details to fill out your storage agreement. We will meet you down at the storage facility to give you a key set and a padlock, show you your unit and how to access it, and answer any questions.

What length of time can I rent a unit for?

You can rent a storage unit for as long as you want. You do not need to sign up to any length of time. You are simply charged each month in advance for so long as you use the unit. Note that we charge a minimum of one month’s rent if you plan on staying for less than one month.

Can I rent a unit ahead of time?

Yes you can. Simply sign up for a unit and make the initial payment and your unit will be secured for you ahead of time. Your rent will start from the time you nominate for when you will need the unit.

Who is Stop Storage?

Stop Storage is a local family owned and run business that has been operating in the Port Kennedy area for over 30 years. Stop Storage has become known as being experienced, helpful, accommodative and easy to deal with. Stop Storage has two self storage facilities that are both located in Port Kennedy.

What size unit do I need?

You can click through to our Space Estimator that provides a guide on the size of storage unit you will need based on your storage requirements. Otherwise, please get in touch and we can help you with what you might need.

What does it cost?

You will just pay a monthly rental charge in advance of each new month you rent with us. This amount will be as agreed with us. You will also pay a one-time deposit of $100 when you sign up to your storage unit. We will refund this deposit at the end of your rental once you have returned your key set and padlock and assuming you have left your unit clean. There are no other charges at all. At Stop Storage, you will not be charged any administrative fees or hidden charges.

How do I pay?

We will automatically charge your debit or credit card for payment in advance of the next month’s rent. We will set this up when you sign up. There are no debit or credit card fees that apply. We are open to making alternative payments arrangements should you wish. If so, please get in touch to discuss this with us.

When do I have access to my storage unit?

You will have 24/7 anytime access to your storage unit. You can come and go as you please.

Where can I get packing boxes?

We have a range of packing boxes that we sell from our storage facilities. Please get in touch with us to discuss the size of boxes you might need.

What size units are available?

If you cannot find the size you are hoping for, please get in touch with us as we may still be able to accommodate your needs. What can I put into storage?

But for a few prohibited items, you can store whatever you want. Prohibited items include: • pets or living things • hazardous or flammable materials • firearms • chemicals • stolen or illegal items If in doubt, please get in touch with us to check what you are allowed to store in your unit.

How do I move my things into my storage unit?

We have a trailer which you can use for free when you move your things in. Conditions apply. Otherwise, we can advise you on how best to move your things in, including providing you with our recommendations for removalists.

How secure is my space?

Your space is secured with your own padlock, and only you have the keys. The entire complex is surrounded by security fencing that is under Camera Surveillance.

How do I end my rental?

We ask that you give us 14 days notice of your move out. If your plans change, you can easily change your move out date or continue on with your rental. To move out, simply clean out your storage unit and return your storage unit’s key set and padlock by dropping them off in our letterbox. You will no longer be charged rent once we have received the key set.
